CREED

I am a member of Gilligan’s Disciples.

I joined because I love the sport of scenario paintball. I joined with the understanding that my behavior will reflect on that sport, as well as on my family, my teammates, and on God. I have made a commitment to lead my life and play my sport with integrity and dignity.

I honor God first, always. Second come my family, friends, teammates, neighbors, and any stranger I meet. As a member of Gilligan’s Disciples, I put myself last, after all others.

Even when I am not playing, I conduct myself in such a way that sheds a positive light on paintball. I understand that when others consider me an individual of poor character, they may assume paintball is a sport played only by such people. My task is to prove that assumption erroneous. I present my sport and any sponsor in a good light, through myself.

I shun substance abuse, be it drugs, chemicals, or alcohol in any form. I refrain from the use of tobacco. I consider my health precious, and know that by setting an example I might encourage others to lead healthy lives.

I do not engage in objectionable activities. I do not swear, make dirty jokes, or “come on” to others. This is a direct result of my belief in the power of the image I project, as stated above.

As a member of Gilligan’s Disciples, I consider safety and good sportsmanship paramount. I never, under any circumstances, behave dishonestly or intentionally breach the rules. I treat my opponents with respect, and accept defeat with dignity and grace.

I encourage anyone of any walk, gender, or age to play paintball. I believe paintball is a great activity, one all should have the chance to experience.
